“We booked rooms with plunge pool. Rooms were great and the stay was very pleasant. Near to the beach. Staff were polite and helpful. The only thing is the the location is quite isolated. The breakfast need to be improved by having some more items”

“We traveled Thailand for a month and stayed in several accommodations throughout our travels....... Rajapruek Samui Resort sadly took number one spot for disappointing us the most , and trust me, we do not have too many expectations from accommodation providers....... Our first impression was blasted when they make you sign an agreement that you will pay for staining Towels, bedding etc - when we got into the room and check the items we find that there are several marks on the bedding and the towels are damaged and well marked/stained already..... On top of this, the TV in the room looked like it was used in a soccer match, the screen was cracked and broken on all four corners and the back section of the TV was fastened to the front part with "duck-tape" - Not the kind of picture one expects to seen in a Resort's room. The property in general is a very noisy environment - From cleaning staff speaking very loudly to one-another whilst cleaning the rooms during the day, to doors constantly being slammed. Unfortunately the rooms do not offer much sound insulation to suppress the constant noise. From a location perspective, It was great for us (age above 50), is it is nicely positioned on a quiet side of the island. Yes, if you have a vehicle then commuting does become a lot easier. Unfortunately the taxi industry has a captive market in Koh Samui and you pay a huge amount for transport, compared to what you pay in the rest of Thailand. If you visit there to relax and not commute around, the the location is perfect! Samui is a small island - we hired a vehicle with driver and it took us just under 4 hours to see most/if not all the good spots in Samui, but hiring a vehicle just gives you that extra flexibility and the prices are not bad at all. From a food perspective: No the facility does not have a restaurant throughout the day - they only serve breakfast. There are however two competent eating places available. Both serve a good breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The one place is right next to the property and the other (which we frequented the most) is just on the other side of the road from the resort. Predominantly they both offer the same type of menu, but there are subtle differences between the two family run businesses. Both serve great tasting local food options. From the Resort's Breakfast perspective - it was a little disappointing to find that a few of the condiments were empty on both mornings we had breakfast there. If we arrived for breakfast late in the morning I would certainly understand, but we got to breakfast shortly after they started to serve at 07H00. Perhaps management can look to up-skill their staff a little on the finer things that create a happy environment for guests. In general - a nice place to stay if you want to be close/on-top of the beach and be away from the busy part Samui, at a good price. I am sure with a little staff training and one or two tweaks, it will be a great place. Ps, do not forget to take loads of mosquito replant with :-) ”
