The photos make it look like a boutique, designer style hotel, but in reality it’s a 1960s concrete block that’s had a makeover. Facilities fine but nothing special. My room smelt of sewage because of the heavy rain that day…/”

“Our stay was marvellous. Muralhas is perfect. Beautiful place, retaining features of the original building. Decor and cleanliness is superb. Centrally located in the heart of beautiful Lamego. The stay was enhanced by the kindness and attention of Dona Zilda and Ricardo who bent over backwards to give a wonderful breakfast.”
