“Absolutely loved our stay at Hafdals Hotel! This place honestly feels worthy of a 5-star rating. The owner was incredibly accommodating and kind, making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The room view was breathtaking—overlooking the mountains and the charming town of Akureyri, it was like waking up in a postcard. We were even lucky enough to catch the northern lights right from the hotel! The food was also delicious, and everything about the place felt cozy, peaceful, and well cared for. I so love this place—it’s truly a must-stay when visiting Akureyri. Can’t recommend it enough!”

“The property is located on the top of the mountain with equipped kitchen and a jacuzzi outside the balcony of the property. The view is amazing at night and we saw aurora while we are enjoying our time in the jacuzzi. Only one recommendation is maybe markings for parking can be made as the neighbour blocked our way out during our stay.”

“After 4 nights in hostels and guesthouses this was a very welcomed experience. Easy to find from the road. As soon as we walked into the foyer, I knew we were going to be happy. As soon as I used the bathroom in the lobby, I knew that we would be very happy. The young woman at reception was very nice and welcoming. Our room was spacious compared to previous nights and we had a private bath! We were on 4th floor with slanted cieling and a sky light which had a cover on it. The view out our window was "meh" but that did not matter. We were in walking distance of shops and restaurants. Brought back pizza and had a nice comfortable isolated table in lobby area to sit and eat. Very quiet and slept well. Breakfast in morning was quite nice with fresh foods and baked goods. Easy to get out and back on our way when we were done.”

“One of my favorites. No staffs in sight but well thought out design so you wouldn't be required to find one. I like the idea of parking our car right infront of the room. Room was spacious and clean. ”
