“The hotel overlooks mountains and the room balconies have amazing views. The rooms are spacious and clean and looks exactly like in the photos. Food is very good and even though we were very few guests in the hotel, they made sure that we get options to eat. The manager at the restaurant would pack food for us in case we were in a hurry to go out. The best thing about this place is the staff hospitality. Since I was travelling with my parents and had requested for 2 rooms close by, they upgraded our rooms to a spacious villa with 2 bedrooms so that all of us could stay in the same place. The rooms were uphill and they had a vehicle always picking us up from the room and dripping us to the entrance and vice versa. The staff checked on our stay everyday and were very helpful when something was needed. I totally recommend this place when you look at booking in Thekkady ”

“We had the pleasure of staying at CGH Spice Village, Thekkady, and our experience was nothing short of delightful. We arrived around 3 PM and were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. A special mention to Mr. Albin at the reception, who greeted us with a smile, gave us a comprehensive overview of the resort and its activities, and personally escorted us to our rooms. His cordial nature set the tone for the rest of our stay. After settling in, we headed to the charming tea shop where we enjoyed a refreshing cup of tea accompanied by delicious snacks. The atmosphere was lively, thanks to Mr. Francis at the games centre, who went out of his way to engage guests in a variety of fun, simple games. His enthusiasm and dedication truly stood out and made us feel very welcome. Later, we spent some wonderful moments at the pool, which was beautifully maintained. With the pool going as deep as 12 feet, it was reassuring to have attentive staff present to assist and ensure safety. Dinner was another highlight of our stay. The restaurant team, including Ms. Nayana, Chef Aparna, Mr. Santhosh, and many others whose names I regret not recalling, offered impeccable service. They even surprised us with a beautifully arranged cake to celebrate my parents’ anniversary — a gesture we deeply appreciated. The buffet was varied and delicious, catering to a range of tastes while maintaining high quality. The next morning, we participated in the yoga session led by Mr. Anil, which was serene and rejuvenating. Exploring the resort’s expansive, lush green property—teeming with native plants and trees—was a joy in itself. The eco-consciousness and closeness to nature are palpable everywhere you go. Our room was exceptionally cozy and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like chilled beer glasses, which demonstrated the resort’s meticulous attention to comfort and detail. What truly distinguishes Spice Village is its exceptional staff — every member we met was courteous, proactive, and ready to go that extra mile to ensure we were comfortable. Their genuine hospitality is, without a doubt, the resort’s greatest asset. We left with hearts full and minds refreshed.
