“This hotel is spot on, clean, lovely staff and great bar and location. My gripe was it was €250 one night with no breakfast. I stayed here on St Paddy's night paid half the price with breakfast - I think there was something going on in the town and they decided to double and triple their prices - awful :-(”

“There are not many choices when you wish to stay in Kilkenny. We were placed in a room where it took 7 minutes walk to find our way. No AC and it was really warm in the room. We were just beside one of the parking lot and a lot of noises. Like dumpsters at 6 am. We were glad to just stay one night. They are better town to stay for the night ”

“It was an amazing experience to have a first-time stay at this 5-star hotel, celebrating my mother’s birthday with an afternoon tea followed by dinner at the grill and bar, along with a two-night staycation. The staff were all welcoming, especially Laura McCarney, who always smiled whenever she saw us roaming around the hotel. She even visited our room to clarify some things for our peace of mind and ensure a comfortable stay.”

“The room was lovely (garden view) though not very private - some sheer curtains for day time would be good. You also have to walk through an uncovered outdoor area to get to this section of the hotel, which is fine if it’s not raining. The bed was comfortable and the room nicely decorated and spacious. The hall area outside the room is very noisy and echos considerably, so the noise of other guests coming and going disturbed us, but earplugs solved that. I found it to be a little impersonal, and the grounds between our room and the main part of the hotel looked a bit shabby. Terrible hair dryer. It’s across the River from the main part of town, only a short walk away and easy access to the castle. We walked everywhere. ”

“Stayed with 2year old, there was no cot in room she stayed in our bed, room was lovely and spacious, however the day 2 clean wasn't very clean, glasses were dirty that were left no replacement coffee, We weren't shown around upon arrival or told of facilities, also no welcome pack In room to tell us of how to use things or were to go. Great variety for breakfast although bacon over cooked both mornings Ate in Scott's brasserie both nites crab starter not worth the money at all was pureed and watery very little crab, the lamb shank was sensational however as was the Asian stir fry just a small portion though. Staff were lovely very helpful and great with child, Terrace was lovely for food and great ambience Some lifts weren't working, and had to ask for location of family room and play zone, play zone wasn't very clean or tidy and few older kids unaccompanied a little tough on play items Pool was fab very clean and we loved it, only 1 family changing room The jurassic Park play was amazing best thing honestly our girl loved it as did we, very well done highly recommended All in all we had an amazing first family holiday & we would recommend & may return ”
