“Hotel excellent - room (504) very clean and comfortable with added extras. We thought the car parking charge was very expensive and this particular cost should be identified on your website. One let down was the quality of the service for our evening meal in LEAF. We were kept waiting for our table and then our food longer than we should have been. There should have been some acknowledgment of our existence even if too say , sorry but we will be over to rake your order shortly’. We got the impression that some of the staff were new or had no idea how to apply the personal touch to diners. The head waiter resolved our complaint regarding slow service well and the food served was good. This is the only issue that left a sour taste. The breakfast and staff at breakfast was very good. We would recommend the Castle hotel to others.”

“I had some complications with my initial booking as the facilities were not clearly outlined on the site. We arrived at the hotel and the lobby area is a little tatty, as if it is between changing hands. However, I have no complaints about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, or the facilities of the room. ”
