“Friendly staff, clean sheets,clean room, idyllic location. Need a car to get to it though”

“The room was very clean and lovely, the staff could not help enough, however the Wifi was very poor and not usable. and being on a main road was difficult to find, the parking was difficult too as the pub car park was generally full until late and the free car park was very dark when parking. overall the room was great, but lack of parking and wifi was not great, price was also good.”

“I booked into the hotel as was on a work trip, the reception I got from the staff was very good after waiting 30 minutes to check in, ( I was early) the room was very dated and tired. The window double glazing unit was faulty and the window was all cloudy! The shower lights/fan didn’t work and I had to reset the trip switch! The shower was very good a power shower but was very noisy and could hear when the room next to me showered. There is a notice in the door telling you to close the door when showering! If the fan that is fitted to the wall was cleaned it might work! And the bathroom window was grimy and needing a good clean! The paint on the bathroom window was coming off! The wash and basin drain was also leaking and had been for some time as the tiles on the floor were stained. The food in the restaurant was amazing, I had the chicken tikka flat bread which was very good and flavoursome . The bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep, then in the morning when I stripped the bed I found the duvet was very badly stained, also a pillow had what looked like a cigarette burn on it! This is basic hygiene and should be addressed! I went to have a cup of coffee in my room and when I lifted the cup and saucer the saucer underneath was all stained ! Basic room cleaning and standards! I would have mentioned this at check out as I handed back a phone charger that the staff kindly lent me, but was not asked how my stay was! ”

“Stayed here before. Rooms immaculate and basic. No extras at all. This time slightly off put by the breakfast and bar is under renovation and no one directed me to the alternative arrangements that had been set up. I noticed them by accident. The hotel was still advertising that breakfast was available when clearly it was not. Again great for a stop over. ”

“I really had a good stay here. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. The place is stylish, unique, original and arty cool and is quiet to sleep in despite being above a live music venue and busy cool pub. It has a luxurious feel to it with stylish modern bathroom. There were many little extra touches included. Like hot choc as well as tea and coffee, nice biscuits, a fan for the heatwave, nice bathroom products, bottled water. The breakfast buffet was better than expected for a free breakfast. Little fruit jellies, nutella, cereal, bread, etc. Fridges and a microwave. A shop nearby. The pub itself is cool and the back garden decking area has a lovely tree stump growing in it amidst the carnival lights. It will make a nice stage area for bands in summer festivals. It is an exceptional place to stay and budget friendly too. I wish they had space to stay longer. Thanks. I hope to come stay again in the future. ”
