“Friendly staff, keen to please. Comfortable room. Our spotlessly clean private bathroom was three steps across the corridor. However, with only two other bedrooms this was not an issue for us and it meant we had a bath/shower rather than only a shower. Substantial breakfast with plenty of choice including cereals, fruit, yogurt, toast and delicious cooked breakfast. The evening meals had plenty of choice and were well prepared. Portions were substantial and while the quantity was too great for us many diners would be well satisfied. The owners made a point of visiting guests in the restaurant which was appreciated and not overbearing. The experience was excellent value for money and we would book again if in the area. ”

“This is a smashing place to spend a few days. We were in the smallest accommodation (which is bijou!) but it had everything we needed. Staff at the Hall and the Joiners were very friendly and helpful. The meals at the Joiners are very good (we have been going there for years), and breakfast was delicious, with a nice range of options. I do think it is a little expensive for the accommodation. My only recommendation would be to make the little gardens enclosed - we would have loved to leave the door open and let our dog in and out/ enjoy the birdsong etc but he was escaping between the trees!”
